I love the beach!
I love the crashing waves and the colours. One day this great huge cloud reared up behind the rock outcrop I was painting near. The colours of sunset, and a storm all mixed up together against the impossible teal blue highlights of crashing waves. It's a tingling emotion, and I strived to make you feel the movement of the waves, imagining the next fraction of a second. The water spray is thick and textured, dimensionally reaching toward you. The size of this painting takes you into the image, letting you really feel the power of the ocean and the salt spray.
