During April Laguna Beach experienced a massive flower bloom and you couldn't keep me out of the canyon. The pure joy of the masses of yellow and fresh green on formally dust brown hills was exhilerating and I wanted to capture that sunfilled incredible day. I want you to see the series of steps taken in painting and recording the scene, from the emotion of upliftment, to the physicality of painting en plein air, to finishing over many painting sessions in the studio.
